Transmission Fluid Exchange Service
At Town Center Automotive, we know how important it is for you to keep your vehicles in the best running condition. Transmission flushes don’t have to be done very often, but they are part of good regular maintenance.
The automatic transmission fluid (ATF) in your engine eventually builds up grime or debris from regular usage, causing friction and excessive heat in the gears and other transmission parts.
A transmission fluid replacement changes about 50-60% of the fluid in the system, extending the time in between full flushes. A full flush replaces 100% of the dirty transmission fluid in the system with clean transmission fluid for a smoother, cooler transmission. A full transmission flush should be conducted every 30,000-50,000 miles, or every 3-5 years.
Our service technicians can perform a full transmission flush in a few hours or less, so that you can get back on the road. If desired, our full transmission flush can also include a replacement transmission filter and pan gasket.
Our technicians meet the highest standard of professionalism. If a transmission flush is what you need, that is what we will provide for you. However, a transmission flush is not a cure-all. Pumping fluids through the transmission will damage it further if there is significant wear on the parts. If you need parts replaced in your transmission, this will have to happen first, and our technicians will inform you of this fact.
Here at Town Center Automotive, we take pride in providing the best service for each vehicle that comes into our garage. If your car is showing signs of a weakening transmission, such as grinding, slow shifting, or overheating, bring your car in for a diagnostic appointment so we can know how best to help you.
